Total quantity or scope of tender

TfW seeks consultancy services from an organisation with a detailed knowledge and experience of bus policy and implementation which will:

• Assist the Project Board with the delivery of its objectives and act as senior industry advisor to the Project Board to advise on the practical implementation of their plans;

• Ensure that the interface of the South Wales Metro delivery programme with ongoing operations of the public transport network are effectively managed to ensure that patronage is maintained during the infrastructure and services transformation and subsequently grown in a sustainable way;

• Support the development and implementation of smart/integrated ticketing and customer information systems across multiple transport modes;

• Assist the Bus Services Director with the formulation of the Bus Strategy and its Implementation Plan;

• Help drive the IAB work programme;

• Support the development and implementation of sustainable travel choices for all;

• Deliver initiatives to encourage active travel and modal shift to public transport;

• Work with bus operators and other stakeholders, including passenger and statutory representatives (e.g. Passenger Focus and Passenger Groups), regarding partnership projects and ongoing network review management;

• Support the development and delivery of plans to help customers make

sense of their public transport network that includes delivering a consistent and unified brand;

• Carry out bus policy reviews as necessary to inform future strategy;
